A preliminary discussion regarding the implementation of the 'Digi Truck Sri Lanka' program in the Monaragala District—an initiative jointly organized by the Presidential Secretariat and Huawei to enhance public computer literacy in parallel with Sri Lanka's digitalization project—was held on August 13, 2026, at the Kataragama Divisional Secretariat auditorium.

Officials from the Presidential Secretariat, Divisional Secretaries and Information Technology officers representing the Divisional Secretariat offices of Kataragama, Thanamalwila, Wellawaya, and Bibile, as well as officials from Huawei and the Kataragama Divisional Secretariat, participated in this event.
